Activate terminal reader

Sometimes, you may need to activate the developer terminal. Your Tilled integrations team will send you an Activation Code. If you don’t yet have an activation code for your device, please reach out to [e-mail].

Follow these steps to enter your Activation Code onto your device to activate it:

1. Your device must be connected to Wifi to be activated.  (Refer to our guide on Connecting your terminal reader to Wifi for detailed instructions).
2. Tap the Star Menu (bottom left of screen)
3. Tap the down arrow to navigate to next screen of menu items
4. Tap “6. Download Package”
5. Screen should display “Enter EPI ID” 
   1. Enter the Activation Code here and tap “OK”
   2. Your Activation Code is referred to as an EPI ID on the device
   3. After “OK”, this will start the process of downloading the software and provisioning the device. 
   4. This may take a couple seconds
6. When your device is activated and ready to accept transactions the screen will display “Waiting… Valor Connect” (see screenshot below)
